Anders “SCRMN” Meisner is a Danish artist, currently living and working in his hometown of Copenhagen after residing throughout the last decade in various European countries. He’s known for his elaborate pen drawings, paintings, and layered collages - a collection of symbols that are blended, duplicated, overlapped, erased and highlighted.

His work uses many medical and scientific references, inspired from his family’s involvement in the medical industry. His father and sister are both in medicinal profession, “exposing me to disease dinner table talk since I was a child.” This sparked his interest in exploring the scenery behind colonialism, religion, and the human condition. By using antique papers and drawings of nature, portraits, and anatomy - he brings a tangible history that represents a way of understanding symbols and their grounding.
