Hedof's work consists of a vibrant mix of images, typography and color. Never being too much in your face, Berkelmans always makes sure his work is packed with a certain attitude, casual but clever, tactile but professional.
Joren Joshua and Ilse Weisfelt are partners in crime. And in life. Two fresh young illustrators with a huge urge to create. These individual artists each have their own remarkable style, influenced by graffiti, printing techniques, (children’s) books and graphics from back in the day resulting in lively and sparkly images.
Hyland Mather, aka X-O (American, b. 1971) is a found-object or as he likes to say, “lost objects” - assemblage artist. He attended Colorado State University and received a B.A. in Philosophy with a focus on Aesthetics.
He has exhibited recently in New York (Masters Projects), Los Angeles (Center for Audio Visual Expression), Amsterdam (Kallenbach Gallery), and Eugene, Oregon at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. In another part of X-O’s professional life, as Hyland Mather, he is founder and director of Andenken Gallery.
Friso is an illustrator/designer who lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Friso has been drawing ever since he can remember.
Skateboarding culture has had a significant impact on his artistry, being inspired by the graffiti he saw around him when he first started skateboarding as a teenager in Haarlem and Amsterdam. Friso, who goes by the name Freshco, studied illustration at the Willem the Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
SaSa Ostoja is a self taught illustrator and artist from Amsterdam. In recent years his pen drawings of "animal characters with human characteristics" have been featured on everything from skateboards to magazine covers.
Besides working as an illustrator Saša is also one half of DJ duo Eaglemen. Along with Sander van der Loo, he hosts a monthly radio show on Red Light Radio. Sasa will join the Trailerpark spirit for the first time this year.
Scott Cooper is again this year helping with curating the art at Trailerpark Festival. Scott Cooper is an artist and a curator at ArtRebels.com. He is originally from the Silicon Valley in California, where he studied art at the University of Oregon.
He started his career designing skateboards while he wrote for Slap Magazine and Thrasher Magazine, before he began to focus more on his own art.
They introduced themselves on the internet with a cover of Haddaway’s 90’s megahit ‘What is Love’. They quickly captured the attention of blogs, radio stations and music critics worldwide.
The duo's first EP ‘Romance’ was released independently last year. With their mesmerizing and atmospheric performance, the duo was added to the prestigious PITCH Festival line up.
Unexpected, exciting, sad and romantic, are just a few words to describe their music.
The second Danish live band at Trailerpark Amsterdam will be Darkness Falls who are a pop- noir duo, consisting of Josephine Philip (vocals and keyboard) and Ina Lindgreen (guitar).
Darkness Falls also have a link to the Danish producer Trentemøller, who produced their debut album ‘Alive In Us’ from 2011. It received wide spread critical acclaim, massive radio airplay and resulted in a multitude of concerts across Europe.
Their follow up album ‘Dance And Cry’ was released two months ago and has been regarded as one of the most anticipated albums of 2015.
One band people can experience at Trailerpark Amsterdam will be the Danish band First Hate, that are a lo-fi synth-pop duo from Copenhagen consisting of Anton (Vocals/ Keys) and Joakim (Keys/Vocals).
In September 2014, the punk legend Ben Cook released First Hate’s self titled debut EP 'First Hate' on his Canadian label Bad Actors Inc and suddenly First Hate was on everyone’s lips.
First Hate recently toured Eastern Europe with the Danish producer Trentemøller and now First Hate is ready to take Amsterdam by storm.
